Suzuki GSX-R1000 - The last time the GSX-R1000 model is redesigned about 10 years ago. Now, the manufacturer of that two-wheeled machine is willing to step forward through all-new GSX-R1000.
Revealed at EICMA, Milan, Suzuki GSX-R1000 L7 model is among machines that attract visitors in the world's biggest motorcycle exhibition. The L7 symbol refers to the applicable model year. Although it is model for year 2017, Suzuki state the powerful sportbike will be launched mid-2016.
The GSX-R concept model was allegedly lightest, powerful and best handling ever developed. It seems that Suzuki wants to regain as a leader in the Sportbike class. According to Suzuki, GSX-R concept model was taking technology from MotoGP machine.
On the power, the GSX-R1000 L7 comes VVT 999cc engine. It makes GSX-R1000 sportbike as the first model using VVT. It is able to produce the power and torque of 200hp 82ftlb. If the torque is exact, it seems GSX-R1000 was second under the Ducati 1299 Panigale. More interesting the machine may be just as weight as 200 kilograms.
In fact, the sportbike model also comes with electronic assistance. Includes three modes rides, 10 attractions stage control, the selection of oil mapping, bi-directional quick shifter and launch control. In terms of improving aerodynamic, cowling was also renewed.
Comfort rides assisted by the Balance Free Front fork (BFF) from Showa shock absorbers and Balance Free Rear Cushion (IFRC). The same as could be seen on the Kawasaki ZX-10R 2016. Both are fully adjustable and offer the best level of control in accordance with the condition of the road surface.
In terms of styling, headlights for GSX-R1000 is a unique look with a smaller size. The rear design also performed strongly with a more tapered design. Exterior lights and indicators feature comes with fully LED.
The model has been said to be offered with two versions, but the price and complete information has not been revealed yet.
Finally, the presence of a new version of the GSX-R1000 is certainly warm the 1000cc sportbike segment and will join the Yamaha R1, Kawasaki ZX-10R and the CBR1000RR that will be launched this year.
