KTM 1290 Super Duke GT


KTM 1290 Super Duke GT - The motorcycles of Austria was said as the fastest Sports Touring V-twin machine in the world. Although many take on the characteristics of the naked bike model 1290 Super Duke R, but through the GT model, the rider is able to go farther and faster as the new machine is a step higher in terms of urbanity and comfort.

In fact, there is still a real KTM motorcycle sport and the real GT ahead with what seemed impossible between thrill rides passionate, long-distance travel comfort and impressive daily use. From the aspect of mechanical, this machine was powered engine V-Twin 2-cylinder. It uses the same engine platform LC8 Super Duke R and Super Adventure. The modified fly-by-wire motor power is capable of producing 173bhp and torque 106ftlb.

Power control assisted by intelligent electronic line including traction control, ABS and cornering semi active WP suspension as standard. KTM also offers three modes namely sport rides, street and rain for adjusting the transmission power according to the situation. Tank capacity of 23 liters, the manually adjusted wind shield and relaxed riding position contributes to the comfort for long trips.


Other additional standard equipments are handle with the heater, cruise control, quick-shifter and tire pressure sensors. KTM 1290 Super Duke GT features a combination of LED indicator and adaptive turning lights. This provides a level of lighting depending on machine bearing angle. Subframe part also been strengthened and take into account the additional weight of luggage and passengers. Believe it or not, the machine is equipped with a variety of technology that had never been thought before. These include advanced sporty chassis were taken from the Super Duke R.


The chassis was then revised for a long distance ride comfort, control multi-mapping engine, Brembo brakes, steering damper, combined ABS brakes with Motorcycle Stability Control, traction control in which is sensitive to the cliff, tire pressure monitoring system and hill hold control.
