The all-new Tucson is longer (3.0 inches), wider (1.1 inches) and has a longer wheelbase (1.2 inches) from the previous model. The enlarged opening in the back door is to give more flexibility for cargo. The 60/40 rear seats easily adjustable for various combinations of passengers and cargo.
Tucson maintain the 2.0 MPI engine with direct injection four-cylinder powerplant that produces 155 PS power and 192 Nm of torque. Weighing 1,435kg, Tucson delivers the best power to weight ratio in its class.
Paired with a six-speed automatic transmission offers a manual shift mode and overdrive Shiftronic torque converter, fuel is more economical.
The body is now composed of 50 percent high-strength steel Advanced. MacPherson strut front axle, coil springs, absorbers and stabilizer bar 24.7 mm. The rear suspension is independent, multi-link design, lower for optimum ride comfort and body control. Front and rear suspension is now 20 per cent stiffer, but rose to more impact shock absorption.
Tucson offers a choice of three driving modes, which are normal, sport and eco. As with all Hyundai models, the new Tucson also has a state-of-the-art safety system to offer optimum driving stability. These include Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hillstart Assist Control (HAC), Downhill Brake Control (DBC) and Electric Parking Brake (EPB) with Automatic Vehicle Hold feature. Elegance variant with two airbags and Executive variants have six airbags.
The Hyudai seven new colors offered for new Tucson include Pure White, Platinum Silver, Pepper Grey, Sepia Topaz, Ara Blue, Ruby Wine and Phantom Black, and three leather packages of Black, Red and White.
