2016 Hyundai Tucson - Tucson third generation is a continuation of the previous legacy with significant changes. As a compact urban SUV, the emphasis is to ensure driver's driving ability as well.
The front of the all-new Tucson is highlighted by Hyundai's signature on hexagonal grille, connecting with LED lights create a distinctive identity. Wing-shaped appearance to the front bumper, provide a unique style.
From the rear, again highlighting the sleek profile. The shape of the wheels also contribute to the appearance of an agile and dynamic, even when stopped. The angle of the back also delivers the stability, spaciousness, agility within and outside the road. In addition, there are chrome exhaust tip and rear spoiler sporty look.
A look into the cabin, premium look to the instrument panel. Finish stitching, soft touch right knee is close to the driver's comfort. Material from soft plastic and all internal buttons have looked fine detail.
The all-new Tucson is longer (3.0 inches), wider (1.1 inches) and has a longer wheelbase (1.2 inches) from the previous model. The enlarged opening in the back door is to give more flexibility for cargo. The 60/40 rear seats easily adjustable for various combinations of passengers and cargo.
Tucson maintain the 2.0 MPI engine with direct injection four-cylinder powerplant that produces 155 PS power and 192 Nm of torque. Weighing 1,435kg, Tucson delivers the best power to weight ratio in its class.
Paired with a six-speed automatic transmission offers a manual shift mode and overdrive Shiftronic torque converter, fuel is more economical.
The body is now composed of 50 percent high-strength steel Advanced. MacPherson strut front axle, coil springs, absorbers and stabilizer bar 24.7 mm. The rear suspension is independent, multi-link design, lower for optimum ride comfort and body control. Front and rear suspension is now 20 per cent stiffer, but rose to more impact shock absorption.
Tucson offers a choice of three driving modes, which are normal, sport and eco. As with all Hyundai models, the new Tucson also has a state-of-the-art safety system to offer optimum driving stability. These include Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hillstart Assist Control (HAC), Downhill Brake Control (DBC) and Electric Parking Brake (EPB) with Automatic Vehicle Hold feature. Elegance variant with two airbags and Executive variants have six airbags.
The Hyudai seven new colors offered for new Tucson include Pure White, Platinum Silver, Pepper Grey, Sepia Topaz, Ara Blue, Ruby Wine and Phantom Black, and three leather packages of Black, Red and White.
